I had the pleasure of reading the book Of Fire and Lions. The book details love, friendship, loyalty, and all will be tested. This book takes the readers on a journey through the life of Daniel leading to the pit and out of the pit unharmed. The story provided a range of details that led Daniel to the pit. The story line can be similar in some ways to today’s lives; the hard decisions one must  make, the risk of hurting loved ones when making bad choices. Re-examining friendships and owning up to those mistakes.  The writer did a good job in writing and sharing this particular story.

I would recommend this book for avid readers, study groups, and readers that like novels.

Reforesting Faith: What Trees Teach Us About the Nature of God and His Love for Us

My review of Reforesting Faith affirms that faith exemplify through nature shows God’s love in nature. Reforesting Faith was a delight to review and great details in related to trees in the Scriptures. The author passion for trees stood out and it pointed the readers to the Bible as well as the role trees was positioned in it.

There were several nuggets throughout the book, but I’ll share this, “One of the most important reasons God chose trees is because at every stage of their lives, trees give.” The author related that part to God and how God restored all Job after being tested. God’s love through nature is definitely seen in this book and it will open your eyes to see for yourself just how much God’s love is displayed in our lives.

A Silken Thread  touched on a few issues that has never really reach a conclusion or an end. However, in this book it brought the issues in a loving, gentle way and with open eyes. It is my opinion that the author did a wonderful job in writing this book. The characters came to life and the issues that occurred is relate-able in some ways to today’s era. The contents, the language style, and personalities blended well as each character was displayed through the connections.

I could barely put the book done. The author amazingly brought to each character’s attention of illusions and/or misunderstandings towards racism, responsibility, humanity, and love. Love has no boundaries and no color; this is what I pulled from the ending of the book.  I am looking forward to reading other material from this author. I enjoyed reading this book.    This book is highly recommended.
